Great Lakes Angora Goat Show 2010

It's that time again, we are looking forward to another successful goat show. Below are the rules and the classes that will be judged. We are also highlighting “Fibers” this year. Watch this space for more information. Judges will be announced shortly. Also, we are looking for sponsors for the individual classes as listed below. If you would like to sponsor a class, please contact Claudia Salinger, (440-352-7690) you will be highlighted as a sponsor. Sponsorships start at $50.00. Watch this site for news and updates.

ANIMAL CONDITION/HEALTH RULES:

1. No combing, washing or treating of show animals' hair.

2. Health papers will be checked on all goats. Each goat must have a certificate of veterinary health inspection issued within 30 days of the show . Penning may begin by 3PM Friday.

3. All goats must meet the PDA Scrapie Requirements and comply with any other interstate shipping regulations-Check with your vet. Each goat must have an ear tag or a tattoo. Ohio is TB and Brucellosis free.

4. Check-in and registration will be from 8:30-9:30 am on Saturday. The show manager reserves the right to reject any animal showing signs of health problems.
5. Great Lakes Angora Goat Show and its producers reserve no responsibility for theft, injury or death, or anything that may happen to any animal or person, or to theft damage, or loss of exhibitor property. 6. All animals must remain on the fairgrounds until 5 PM the day of the show.

PEN RULES:
• Health Rules 3, 4 and 6 above also apply to sale animals.
• Exhibitors are responsible to bring their own water buckets, feed, hay and bedding.
• Great Lakes Angora Goat Show makes no guarantee of any kind regarding any animal sates.

RULES

We are sorry to announce that the Youth Program, (which was widely praised), will not be held this year. We were unable to obtain suitable insurance to insure that the youth participating would be protected from unforseen accidents.
